Information we collect
- Account information, such as login identifiers from Google, Apple, Firebase Auth, or supported sign-in methods.
- Profile and preference information, such as display name, avatar, language, app settings, and character preferences.
- Messages, prompts, conversation history, story choices, character configuration, and other content you submit.
- Uploaded or generated media, including images, videos, audio, reference files, and creation history.
- Purchase and credit records, including subscriptions, credit packages, redemptions, usage, and transaction status.
- Device, diagnostics, crash, analytics, IP address, app version, network, and usage information.
How we use information
- To operate Winkio, provide AI chat, companion, story, image, video, and related creation features.
- To personalize character interactions, remember your preferences, sync your account, and maintain your history.
- To process credits, subscriptions, purchases, refunds, abuse reports, customer support, and account deletion requests.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, safety issues, policy violations, unauthorized access, and service misuse.
- To improve app quality, reliability, moderation systems, product performance, and user experience.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
AI processing
Winkio sends prompts, conversation context, uploaded media, and selected settings to backend services so AI systems can generate responses or media. AI outputs may be inaccurate, fictional, or unexpected. Do not submit sensitive personal, financial, medical, legal, or confidential information that you do not want processed by AI systems.
Service providers
We use trusted service providers to run Winkio, including cloud hosting, authentication, database, storage, analytics, crash reporting, push notification, payment, moderation, and AI infrastructure providers. These providers process information only as needed to provide services to us, comply with law, protect users, or maintain security.
Payments
Purchases made through Google Play or Apple App Store are processed by the relevant store provider. We receive transaction status and entitlement information, but we do not receive your full payment card details.
Sharing
We do not sell your private conversations. We may share information with service providers, app stores, professional advisors, law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when necessary to operate Winkio, comply with law, prevent abuse, protect rights and safety, or complete a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Winkio, maintain your account, meet legal and financial record obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. You may request account deletion in the app or through our Account Deletion page.
Age limits
Winkio is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to use the service.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, access controls, monitoring, and limited internal access. No internet service can be guaranteed to be fully secure.
